| Q: |
What is the deal with those files that have a 3.x warning! on Darkni's Midi pages? Are they going to melt down my computer if I download
them, or what? |
| A: |
No, they won't melt down your computer ^_^ The reason
I have put this warning up is that they seem to have problems running under
web browsers and Media Player under older versions of web browsers associated with old 3.x windows versions. This should be no problem for most people, as there are very few people still running online under the old 3.x stuff.
If you *do* happen to still be using a 3.x windows system with an old browser, do not attempt to run these midis directly from the webpage. Download the zip file at the top of the page and open the files in a midi player. They work fine normally, but when accessed through the web, they seem to lock up due to incompatibility with older standards.
If you're worried, just don't DL or run any files marked with this warning... though there's nothing wrong with them, I assure you ~_^ |

| Q: |
Can I use your midis as background music on my own web
pages? |
| A: |
Absolutely! Just make sure that if I have an author
listed for the tune on my pages that you credit them with it on the page where the midi
is used. I also ask that you link back to the Domain somewhere in your links page if
you choose to do this. |

| Q: |
Can I make your files available for download from my
own webpages? |
| A: |
Well, generally I would discourage doing this....
However, I won't get into an uproar provided you stick to the following guidelines...
(1) Make sure you credit authors when I have a listing for them
(2) Note somewhere that the file was obtained from the Goblin's Domain and link back
(3) Don't link directly to the files on my server |

| Q: |
Can I use image files from the Goblin's Domain on
my own webpages? |
| A: |
Once again, I generally discourage this. Most of the
image files are pretty well oriented specifically to this site and wouldn't do you a lot
of good anyway.... There are a few exceptions......
(1) The (Translate DQ in English!) Graphic. I strongly encourage use of this on ALL DQ
pages!
(2) My insignia, found at the bottom of all pages. Use this anywhere, and you'll find me
breathing down your neck really quick.
(3) My pictures or pictures of any other people I have up on my pages. I'll be all over
you like a cheap suit if I see these put up ANYWHERE!!!! Even if it's a link from a
message board to my site!
(4) Don't link directly to the files on my webspace!

| Q: |
Darkniciad Cantel Softspake, cool! Can I..... |
| A: |
No, you cannot. Darkni's character and name (and all
the variations of it I use) are the results of lots of work. If I catch anybody using
any of this I'll be invading your personal space really quickly and violently. |

Back to the Top o' the page
There isn't a whole lot you need to know here, but here's a couple
of things.
My Domain pages
are pretty much just to house my own little projects, but if you send me something
and I really like it I'll put it up and credit you with it.
Normally contributions may all be sent to
leslumens@yahoo.com
However, if your contribution is large (multiple midis in a zip
for example) I prefer to have an e-mail *warning* first. This way I can be ready to get the download off my space quota at Yahoo in a hurry, and determine if the file is too large to transmit through hotmail. If it is, I may have to make other arrangements for you to send me the file (ICQ... upload to your server for me to DL... etc...)

| Q: |
I clicked the link, and the midi is playing on my
browser. I like it and want to download it to my computer, how do I do that? |
| A: |
This depends upon your browser and upon what midi
plug-in you are using. If you're using the default Netscape plug-in for Midi, you're
in luck. Just right click on the little midi player window and you'll get a menu box
in which one selection will be "Save as". Choose this option and then pick a filename
to save the midi on your hard drive.
If right clicking on the midi player doesn't give you a "Save as" option, then there's
another method. Find the link you originally clicked to start the midi playing, and
right click it. You should see a selection similar to "Save Target As". Select this
and save the midi to your hard drive as detailed in the previous example. |

| Q: |
What is a .zip file? What do I do with it once I've
downloaded it? |
| A: |
.zip files are files that have been compressed in size
to make downloading them over the internet quicker. .zip is but one of many types of this
compression and archaive type utility, and the most common in the US.
Download yourself a good zip file manager. I personally recommend Winzip which can be found
at Winzip.Com
Once you have a zip file manager, simply extract the files from the zip to your hard
drive and then open them in the appropriate viewer. |

| Q: |
How do I download a .txt file from this site? |
| A: |
There are two methods to go about this....
(1) Simply right click the link to the .txt file and select "save as" from the menu which
then appears. This will download the file directly to your computer without viewing it.
(2) Click the link and let the file download and display on your screen. Then select the file
menu on your browser and the "save as" option. |

| Q: |
I like the embedded midi on (whatever) page. How can I
download it to my computer? |
| A: |
Right click the midi on the page. You will either see
an option to "save as" or perhaps see a "make floating" option if you use crescendo. The
"make floating" option will offer a small midi window and the "save as" option will be
available on it. Simply select "save as" and you can download the midi to your computer. |

This is simply a quick list of a few things I wanted to mention someplace.
Pastel Midilin
This is a Japanese site where I acquired many
of the midis in Darkni's Shrine
The new format I'm using for all my pages is based upon a design by Dwaine
of the DQ Manga and Anime page. It's cool, functional, and I love it.
