Dragon Warrior I Online Outright Answers

These are the hints I have for now. These are the questions I have personally been asked the most often about this game. If anybody has a suggestion of another, e-mail me and I'll see about including it. If you don't see your question here, it is probably answered in the walkthrough. If these hints aren't enough, you are in some serious trouble my friend!

Where is Rhimuldar?

Pass through Swamp Cave. Swamp Cave is South of the town of Kol.

Once you pass through the cave, head South. Skirt around the desert you see here, and do not take the passage you see West near the desert. Continue South until you have completely passed the mountain range.

Where is the Key Cutter?

In the town of Rhimuldar, you must be curious enough to take an extra step if you wish to reach the key cutter's shop in the Northwest corner of town.

Head North from the last red brick tile at the entrance of town and follow the town wall to the Northwest corner and you will be able to enter the Key cutter's house.

Where is Erdrick's Armor?

Erdrick's Armor is buried beneath a tree in the destroyed town of Hauksness.

Head East until you hit a building wall. Skirt around the edge of the building North until you can go East again. Start looking for a way to go South. When you find it, go South.

After this, you should see a swamp and a single tree tile surrounded by walls on 3 sides in the East. It is on this tree tile that the Armor and it's guardian are.

Where is Erdrick's Sword?

Dragonlord's Castle, Charlock.

FIRST FLOOR: Head West first and make your way around the castle to the center where the throne is. Avoid all doors along the way to the throne. Walk behind the throne and search the center square behind it to reveal the secret passage down to the second floor.

SECOND FLOOR: Only one way to go, head for the stairs

THIRD FLOOR: Only one way to go, head for the stairs

FOURTH FLOOR: Head toward the Northwest corner. You arrive on this floor in the Northeast corner. Just South of the Northwest corner you will find a set of stairs to use to reach the fifth floor.

FIFTH FLOOR: Head East. Follow this path until you see a set of stairs going down. Go just a couple of steps West past these stairs, then turn South. You should find a set of stairs up which lead back to the fourth floor.

From here, just keep going the only way you can and using the stairs to reach the chest and claim the sword.

Where is Erdrick's Token?

From the town of Hauksness, head South until you reach a bridge near the sea.

Cross this bridge and head North until you reach another bridge allowing you to go farther East.

Cross this bridge and make your way into the huge swamp. Keep going East until you are standing on the very last block of swamp in the middle where it is only 1 square wide. From there, walk straight East for 6 paces and search for the Token. The picture shows what Gwaelin's Love tells you if you use it directly over the top of the spot where the token is buried.
